Error1.jpg

" Cannot connect to {computer name} Additional Information: Filed to retrieve data for this request. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Sdk.Sfc)

Connecting to the Integration Services server on the computer "{computer name}" failed with the following error: "Access is Denied.""

Cause:

If a user does not have administrative rights on the server on which the Jet Data Manager resides, it is possible that the user does not have access to Integration Services.

Resolution

Microsoft has provided an article and the common resolution can be found under the "Eliminating the Access is Denied Error" section in the link below:

Connect to a Remote Integration Services Server (SSIS Service)

Following these steps should resolve the issue without the need to give the user full administrative permissions on the machine.

If using SQL 2012 or later, please refer to the Technet article here: Grant Permissions to Integration Services Service
