Configure Drilldown Settings for Dynamics NAV 2013 - 2018 and Dynamics 365 Business Central
Overview
When using the Jet Excel add-in with Dynamics NAV or Dynamics 365 Business Central , you can "drill down" on many of the values returned by the GL() function or the NL(Sum) function, in order to see the underlying transactions that are reflected in the returned value.
You have the option for the results to be displayed in a grid within the Jet Excel add-in or to display within the NAV RoleTailored Client (RTC) or Web Client.
Role Tailored Client (RTC) Drilldown
To configure the RTC Drilldown for Dynamics NAV 2013 or later you must obtain the following information.
The RTC server name or IP address.
The Client Services port for the RTC.
The RTC instance name.
All of this information can be obtained by opening the Dynamics NAV RTC and navigating to the 'Select Server' menu.
To access the 'Select Server' menu press the Dynamics NAV menu button (blue downward facing arrow button in the top left corner of the Dynamics NAV RTC).

Web Client Drilldown:
To configure the Web Client Drilldown for Dynamics NAV 2013 to 2018 or Dynamics 365 Business Central you must obtain the following information.
The Web Server name or IP address.
The port for the Web Client.
The Web Client instance name.
All of this information can be obtained by opening the Internet Information Services Manager (IIS) and expanding your Server Name > Sites > Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Web Client/Microsoft Dynamics NAV 20XX Web Client.

'Use SSL encryption' would need to be checked if in IIS you see (https) next to the port number.
The 'Region Format' is a culture name that is used to format dates, times, numbers, and currency. The value must be a language culture name that has the format nn-NN, such as en-US.
