Create a Dynamics GP Data Source in Jet Hub

This feature is available in Jet 2019 R2 and higher

Overview

You can define a data source connection to an on-premises Dynamics GP database from directly within Jet Hub.

From the Jet Hub Admin menu, select Data Source Setup.
On the Data Source Setup window, click the + Add Data Source button.
On the Details screen, provide the following:
- Give your GP data source a descriptive name.
- For the Database Type, select Dynamics GP.
- For the Connection Method, select On Premises.
- Click Save.
Move to the Authentication screen.

Specify the user credentials needed to connect to the Dynamics GP SQL database (note: these may not be the same credentials as are used to connect to the Dynamics GP client). Click Save.
Move to the Connection settings...
- Specify the Server name where the Dynamics GP SQL database can be found.
- Select the name of the Dynamics database (the default name is Dynamics, but may be different in newer versions of GP - check with your system administrator).
- Enter the name of the default (even if it is the only) Company name within the database.
- Click Save.
If needed, adjust any defaults in the other settings sections (contact your system administrator or specifics).
Click the back arrow next to the Save button.
Your new data source will be displayed on the Data Source Setup screen.
