Configure the Record Load Date on History-enabled Tables

Overview

When history is enabled for a table, Jet Analytics keeps track of when a certain instance of a table is valid.

(In previous versions, Jet Analytics would always assume that the first instance of a record had “always” been the valid record – or at least since 1900-01-01, which would be set as the “valid from” date. The advantage of this approach is that a record always has a valid instance no matter how far back you go.)

When working with slowly changing dimensions, however, it can be more useful to know when the record was added.

Process

To this end, you can choose between "1900-01-01" and the time of load as the “valid from” date.
