Create a Dynamics 365 Business Central Data Source

Overview

Jet Reports can connect to your Dynamics 365 Business Central data in a variety of ways - depending upon the version and type of BC configuration your organization uses.

Here are some helpful instructions to help you access your BC data.

SQL Direct

If you have direct access to the SQL Server on which your single-tenant Business Central data resides (especially on-premises), this is the fastest connection method.

Web Services - Public Cloud

This is a great choice for standard Public Cloud Business Central installations

SQL Direct Multi-Tenant

You can use the same direct access method for connecting to a multi-tenant Business Central database.

Web Services - On Premises

This is a great choice for on-premises installations where you may not have direct access to the Business Central's underlying SQL database.
