Create a Dynamics NAV Web Services Data Source in Jet Hub

This feature is available in Jet 2019 R2 and higher

Overview

You can define a data source connection to Dynamics 2013-2018 Web Services from directly within Jet Hub.

From the Jet Hub Admin menu, select Data Source Setup.
On the Data Source Setup window, click the + Add Data Source button.
On the Details screen, provide the following details:
- Give your NAV data source a descriptive name.
- For the Database Type, select Dynamics NAV 2013 - 2018.
- For the Connection Method, select Web Services.
- Click Save.
Move to the Authentication screen.

Specify the user credentials needed to connect both to NAV's Web Services (you may need to contact your system administrator for details).
Move to the Web Service settings
- Specify the name of the NAV Web Server
- Specify the SOAP services port configured for your Dynamics NAV.
- Enter the name of the NAV Instance configured for your Dynamics NAV.
- Enter the name of the default (even if it is the only) Company name within the database.
- Ensure that the Jet Codeunit setting is configured for Jet_Data_Source.
- Configure any other settings are instructed by your system administrator.
- Click Save.
If needed, adjust any defaults in the other settings sections (contact your system administrator or specifics).
Click the back arrow next to the Save button.
Your new data source will be displayed on the Data Source Setup screen.
