Constraint Suggestions in the Jet Data Manager
Overview
Adding primary keys and relations to tables in a project enables Jet Data Manager to check primary and foreign key constraints to maintain data integrity. Sometimes information about the tables’ primary keys and relations can be found as metadata in the data source and read by Jet Data Manager.
Add Suggested Constraints
Constraint suggestions are available for and applied to for all tables in a staging database or data source.
Access the Automate wizard interface by right-clicking the database or data source you wish to work with, click Automate and then click Add Suggested Constraints
Note: The information in this article refers to JDM version 2017 and higher. In older versions of Jet Data Manager you use the constraint suggestions feature on an individual table to see this information and apply the suggestions.
