Jet Hub and Jet Service Tier Logging

To log any issue/error occurring on Jet Hub, please review the following instructions for how-to capture this error.

Enable Logging with the Jet Administration Console

  1. Enable Logging

    • Open the Jet Administration Console.
    • Click the Connect button.
    • Click the checkbox for ' Enable Service Logging '.
    • Switch to the Users tab to save your settings.

  2. Sign into Jet Hub and reproduce the error/issue.
  3. Go back to the Jet Administration Console and disable 'Enable Service Logging'.
  4. When reporting this issue to Jet Reports Technical Support, provide a copy of the log file generated.

Enable Logging with the Jet Hub

In Jet Hub versions 21.3 and later, you also have the ability to enable logging within the Jet Hub.  You will need Jet Admin privilege to do so.

  • In the upper right corner, select the green icon with the Jet users initials
  • Select Settings from the dropdown list.
  • On the left side select Logging from the available choices.
  • Select the check field to toggle logging on.

Location of Service log file:

  • If you are running the Jet Service Tier service as ' Network Service ' then the log file will get generated on the Jet Service Tier server in the following location. C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Jet Services
  • If you are using a dedicated service account then the log file will get generated on the Jet Service Tier server in the following location. C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Jet Services

To open the log file(s) Debugging Tools for Windows must be installed via the Microsoft Windows SDKThis installs the Windows Service Trace Viewer found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v8.1A\bin\NETFX 4.5.1 Tools Microsoft Windows 10 SDK.
