The Jet Services Database will store the data that Jet Service Tier and Jet Hub use.
SQL Server Instance: Select the SQL server instance that is used to store the Service Tier information.
-
Select one of the following:
Login using the service 'Run As' account
Login using database authentication
The service account chosen to run the Jet Service Tier needs access to the SQL server and needs at least "db_datareader" and "db_datawriter" permissions for the JetServices database after installation.
To test the connection, ensure that the Database name dropdown list consists of the databases that are used to connect to Jet.
If you get an error, the selected account cannot access the SQL server that you have selected. In that scenario, select sign in with database authentication and try a sysadmin account.
Database name: Select the database to establish a Jet connection.
After selecting Next, select The database... window is displayed.
-
If you've selected an existing Jet Services database in the previous step, choose to update that database to the latest version, or to replace the database, and click Next.

Adding an SSL Certificate
The Jet Hub requires an SSL certificate to be bound to the site. An admin user can do so through the IIS manager on the Jet Hub server. Instructions for requesting and installing a certificate is available in the article Using an SSL Certificate with Jet Hub.
To bind SSL certificate to Jet Hub, perform the following steps:
- In IIS, go to Connections > <Server> > Sites > Jet Hub.
- In Actions, select Bindings. The Site Bindings window is displayed.
- In the Site Bindings window, select the Port (usually 443 ) that was specified during the installation of the Jet Hub and, then select Edit .... The Edit Site Binding window is displayed.
-
In SSL, select the required certificate (provided by the product support).
It is recommended to select Jet Service Tier Self Signed Cert if Jet Hub and the Jet Service Tier are installed on the same server.
Important: It is recommended not to make any changes in the Edit Site Binding window apart from SSL.
After the Jet Reports installation, reset or restart IIS.
To reset IIS, open Command Prompt(CMD) as administrator and run the following command.
iisreset
