Use the Adapterless Setup for NAV 2013 - 2018 with Jet Analytics

Overview

When configuring the Jet Data Manager (version 2014 SR2 and higher) to access NAV 2013 and newer, there is no requirement for importing and running code on the NAV system in order to use NAV Enhancements.

Note : In earlier versions of NAV (NAV 2009 and earlier) the import of the Jet Business Objects for NAV objects is required. More details are available in the KB article here: Import the NAV Adapter ( NAV 4.0 SP1 through NAV 2009 R2).

Process

To take advantage of this feature, make sure that the box for NAV 2013 or later is checked in the NAV Enhancements Settings window during set up of the source.

You can find the setting by right clicking on a NAV source, navigating to Enhancements and clicking NAV Enhancement Settings (Enabled: xxx).
