Guard OLAP Cubes

This feature is not compatible with High Availability Cubes nor when performing a full deploy. Contact insightsoftware Technical Support for assistance.

With this feature, you can prevent deployment and execution of specific cubes or dimensions.

To prevent deployment and execution of an OLAP object

1. Go to Jet Analytics, expand cubes, right-click the cube to be guarded and select Advanced > Guard. This prevents deployment and execution of the cube that is guarded.

   

   Objects can be guarded on deployment, on execution, or both, by marking the corresponding boxes.

   

2. The Jet Analytics will update the menu to show which boxes have been marked.

   

If guarded on deployment, then the Jet Analytics will not deploy the object. If you try to execute an OLAP object that has not been deployed, you will receive an error.
