Show Data Types on Fields

Overview

The Jet Data Manager (JDM) allows you to display the data types of fields right next to each individual field in the project tree. This is useful, for instance, if you want to see the data types for all fields in a table at once.

Process

To enable this feature open the View drop-down menu in the JDM and click Data Types.

You will receive a message that states that the project tree needs to be refreshed after you turn this option on or off. Clicking "Yes" will reload the project tree with the changes.

Once the project tree refreshes the data type for each field in your data source(s), staging, and data warehouse database tables will be displayed in parentheses following the field name as shown in the following screenshot:
