Jet Reports - Release Notes 2021
Jet Reports (including the Jet Excel add-in and Jet Hub) receives updates on a regular basis. The following topic covers the release notes for all Jet Reports releases that are released in the year 2021.

Feature Updates
- Enhanced filters to allow multiple filter values against the same field when running against BC Public Cloud. (3316)
- To make the process of scheduling and distributing batch reports faster and easier for users, Jet Reports introduces a new report scheduling wizard. The new wizard walks the user through a series of simple questions to complete a batch schedule and report template for them. The new Batch Report Wizard button can be found on the Jet Ribbon in the Tools section beside the Report Wizard button. (3360)
- Improved the verbiage on the Email Tab of the scheduler to reflect an Error Notification. (3395)

Resolved Issues
- Updated Jet Hub so that if TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are disabled with TLS 1.2 enabled, O365, Azure, and Basic user logins will work. (2273)
Jet Add-In
Feature Updates
- To help users identify and correct potential errors more quickly when scheduling and distributing batch reports, Jet Reports has added the ability to send a user an email indicating an error has occurred with a report. This can be found in the Schedule Task window on the Email Tab. (3302)
- When a new BC Cloud connection is created, the page size (MB) setting will now default to 1 instead of .1. This will improve performance for large reports that take advantage of batch execution. This change will not affect cloud connections that already exist. (2786)

- Corrected an issue where Jet was not properly handling decimal values in regions where a comma is used instead of a decimal. (3348)
- Fixed an issue so that NL(Sum) and NL(Count) return the same data as NL(Rows) when considering time localization with date/time fields in the database. (3207)

Feature Updates

Technology Upgrades
- This release includes upgrades to Microsoft .NET Core 5.0 and Microsoft .NET framework 4.8. The installation of this Jet release will automatically install these needed upgrades before installing Jet Reports release 21.3.

- Corrected an issue so conditional formatting will be applied on a report with Dutch language. (2124)
- Corrected an issue where selecting Open in Excel Online was not working in Chrome. (2422)
- Corrected an issue to prevent getting a credential error when using an on-premise data sources with an Azure AD or basic authentication Jet Service installation. (3163)

Feature Updates
- Enhanced the NL First function to return the same results when run against Web Services or Direct SQL when sort is not provided. (3170)
- Enhanced the Evaluate Function to return the same results when using Web Services or Direst SQL connections to Business Central. (3171)
Resolved Issues
- Corrected an issue where NL(First) and NL(Last) could produce incorrect results when using Web Services vs Direct SQL. (1323)
- Corrected an issue when using Table Builder and linking from a custom field to link to another table so an "invalid column name" error is no longer issued and the link works correctly. (2761)
- Corrected an issue where a formula with nested NF function didn't return the correct results when using German regional format. (2792)
- Corrected an issue caused cells to return when #Value when using OData BC Connector with a large number of GL Functions. (2867)
- Corrected an issue where the Check for Updated Version was not properly displaying a message that an updated version of Jet Reports was available. (3198)
Jet Services Administration Shell
Feature Updates
- Added the ability to turn on/off logging from the Jet Services Administration Shell using the command Set-LoggingOnOff. If a 1 is provided after the command, logging will be turned on. If a 0 is provided after the command, logging will be turned off. If a value of is not provided, you will get a message on the values to provide. (3181)

- Made a change so that Enum fields can now be seen and used. (2795)
- Corrected an issue so when connecting to a BC data source via ODATA where the company contains an ampersand, the connection will be successful. (3196)

Feature Updates
- Enhanced the Table Browser to hide tables the user does not have permission to access. (2729)
- Improved Jet Reports performance when running in a multi-core environment. (2787)
Resolved Issues
- Changed the program so that connection with ODATA does not give an error if the user does not have permissions to the table. (2662)
- Users can now be added from another domain in the Jet Service Tier. (2707)
- Corrected an issue where in some circumstances, you would get an error when activating the Jet Basics Trial. (2745)
- Made a change so that Enum fields can now be seen and used. (2795)
- When pulling source document field from Warehouse receipt line table, the value returned is now correct. This was due to a change in BC SaaS 17.1. (2833)
- When using a BC SQL data source, if the table extension is off a non-standard table such as one from a third-party app, the extension table/fields are now shown in the browser and can be pulled in an NL function. (2868)

Feature Updates
- Jet Hub has been updated to allow multifactor authentication for Business Central Web Services data sources. Administrators can enable this feature via the settings tab within the Jet Hub. - The expanded implementation of the ODATA toggle for connectivity is extended to Jet Hub and JET ADMIN CONSOLE. (2678)

- Corrected an issue where filtering on timefield could return incorrect results. (1575)
- Eliminated an error that occurred when running reports from BC's item table with a deprecated extension field. (2087)
- Jet Tab now loads correctly when running Excel via "Run as Administrator". (2738)
- Corrected an issue where the output type of .xlsm was not always handled correctly. (1605)
