Jet Reports - Release Notes 2026

Jet Reports (including the Jet Excel add-in and Jet Hub) receives updates on a regular basis. The following topic covers the release notes for all Jet Reports releases that are released in the year 2026.

Resolved Issues

  • Resolved an issue in Jet Hub where Microsoft Authentication Library (MSAL) Cached Login was not used for Business Central Web Services On-Premises data sources with O365 Authentication. [12542]

  • Resolved an issue in Excel Desktop where authentication to shared Business Central Public Cloud data sources failed when MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) was enabled. [14820]

  • Resolved an issue in Jet Hub where certain functions were randomly failing to convert to calculated values and remain as array formulas in downloaded reports. [14863]

  • Resolved an issue where Jet Hub could not run reports against Business Central Cloud connections. [15087]

  • Resolved an issue in Jet Excel Desktop where the Table and Field dropdown in Reports Center was not displaying table numbers when the display format was set to NumberCaption. [15133]

Features

  • Improved telemetry gathering performance when CEIP (Customer Experience Improvement Program) is enabled by optimizing Event Hub client calls to run asynchronously.(8931)

  • Jet Hub now displays the insightsoftware branded favicon in the browser tab. (14905)

  • The End User License Agreement (EULA) has been updated to reflect the correct business address for insightsoftware. (15209)

  • All documentation links have been migrated from go.jetreports.com to the new hop.insightsoftware.com domain. (15118)

Resolved Issues

  • Resolved an issue where NL("First") and NL("Last") functions were not returning records correctly when sorting was applied, causing incorrect data retrieval in reports. (14831)

  • Resolved an issue in Jet Excel Desktop where the JFX (Jet Function Wizard) application was unexpectedly closing when autosave was enabled and multiple workbooks were open simultaneously. (14808)

  • Resolved an issue where ReplicationBatchExecutionManager batch queries were missing COLLATE JETCODE in WHERE clauses, causing full table scans on SQLite cache instead of using optimized indexes. (14704)

  • Resolved an issue where sign reversal operations with Empty Record Key were producing inconsistent or incorrect results across different report executions. (14453)

  • Resolved an issue in Jet Hub where scheduled tasks containing multiple reports were losing report-specific options when one of the reports was re-uploaded or updated. (14330)

  • Resolved an issue in Jet Hub where text values were not being replicated or populated across all rows in a multi-row report display. (12629)

  • Updated branding across multiple interfaces to reflect the latest insightsoftware brand standards, including the CEIP screen in Jet Hub, the About page in Jet Excel Desktop, data source settings page in Jet Excel Desktop, and App Settings for Jet Excel Desktop. (14827, 14699, 14660, 13873)

  • Updated the Installer to simplify the installation process by moving Jet Hub settings configuration to the post-installation phase, reducing setup complexity. Updated installer EULA screen to display in the selected language for non-English users. (14826, 12396)

  • Improved functionality when using Autosave inside Excel Desktop, providing a more stable experience when working with reports with automatic saving enabled. (14198)
  • Upgraded the ExcelDNA package to the latest version for improved compatibility and performance. (14001)
  • Added SOAP deprecation warning in Jet Hub to alert users that SOAP connections are no longer the recommended approach and will be deprecated in future releases. (13965)
  • Added warning message when using DirectSQL Connections inside Jet Reports and Jet Hub to inform users of potential compatibility or performance considerations. (13572)

  • Updated Report Assist to be shown regardless of configuration settings. (13215)

  • Updated Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Configuration screens inside Jet Hub for Business Central Public Cloud data sources. (12793)

  • Resolved an issue in Jet Hub and Reports Center where a "Report Run Failed" error was thrown due to an EmptyFilterException for reports that previously worked as expected. (13352)

  • Resolved an "Unable to cast object of type 'OfficeOpenXml.Drawing.Chart.ExcelPieChartSerie'" error in Jet Hub and Reports Center that was occurring due to an invalid type casting of the Pie Chart series object.(JET-13351)

  • Resolved an issue in Jet Hub where GL("Rows") reports for GP data sources were not working correctly. (JET-12766)

  • Resolved a #VALUE error returned when no records are found for replicator filters and cache tables are enabled. (JET-12650)

  • Resolved an issue in the Excel Desktop Add-In where cell formatting was causing values to be truncated. (JET-12623)

  • Resolved an issue in Jet Hub and Reports Center where some reports were stuck in a loop, causing an OutOfMemory Exception to be thrown. (JET-12621)

  • Resolved an issue in Jet Hub where the 'Use Read Only Replica' option, once selected, could not be unselected, preventing users from switching back to the primary database connection. (JET-8996)

  • Added the ability to use grouping commands in Lineos Report Assist. (13271)

  • Updated the Companies dropdown list in the Excel Ribbon to be sorted alphabetically. (13253)

  • Improved the performance of NL First and NL Last functions using Web Services. (13132)

  • Added a warning for disabling Cache Tables inside the app settings. (11121)
